A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in the Kenner, LA area, supporting K-12 students in a dynamic school environment. This contract role runs through the current school year, ending in late May 2026, with a focus on elementary-aged children primarily on the west bank. The position offers an opportunity to provide essential speech and language services that directly impact student communication and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Prior experience working with school-age children, especially in elementary settings, is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday following the school calendar.
- On-site position serving multiple schools within the region.
